چکیده

Background: Acne is caused by inflammation and obstruction of the skin pores, which traps excess oil (acne vulgaris). The bacterium Staphylococcus aureus causative agent acne. Treatment prevention efforts can be made traditionally. Purpose: Testing antibacterial efficacy marigold flower ethanol extract cream (Tagetes erecta L.) against aureus. Method: This type research descriptive exploratory experimental. Samples from flowers were formulated into three treatments, namely concentrations 25%, 50%, 100% with replications. Antibacterial testing was carried out agar well diffusion method. Data analysis used One-way ANOVA Tukey HSD tests. Result: inhibition zones produced ethanolic 8.59 ± 0.047, 9.23 0.026, 10.23 0.044 respectively. Thus, a higher concentration in more significant inhibitory activity. Conclusion: showed activity suitable to applied as for traditional treatment acne
